Return & Refund Policy

At The Yardspace Co., we want you to feel confident about creating a space you’ll actually enjoy using. Because many of our products are large, made-to-order, shipped freight, or fulfilled directly from manufacturers, our return process is a little different than standard retail stores.

Please review the information below before placing your order.


Order Cancellations

Before Shipment

Orders canceled before shipment may be eligible for a full refund.

Some products may include processing fees or manufacturer cancellation fees once production or fulfillment has begun.

After Shipment

Once an order has shipped, it cannot be canceled. At that point, it falls under the return policy outlined below.


Returns

General Return Window

Most eligible products may be returned within 30 days of delivery.

To qualify for a return:

  • The product must be unused and unassembled

  • All original packaging must be included

  • The product must be in new, resellable condition

  • Return authorization must be approved before shipping anything back

Returns sent without authorization may be refused.


Non-Returnable Items

The following items are generally non-returnable unless damaged or defective upon arrival:

  • Custom or made-to-order products

  • Installed or assembled products

  • Products with modified components

  • Clearance or final sale items

  • Opened consumable products

  • Certain manufacturer-restricted items

Some brands and manufacturers may have their own return restrictions in addition to this policy.


Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless:

  • The item arrived damaged

  • The wrong item was delivered

  • The item is confirmed defective

Because many products ship freight, return shipping costs can be significant.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error on our end.


Damaged or Defective Items

Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery.

If your item arrives damaged or defective:

  • Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing

  • Take clear photos of the packaging and product

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery

This helps us process claims with the manufacturer or carrier as quickly as possible.

Failure to report freight damage promptly may affect claim eligibility.


Missing Parts

If your order is missing hardware, panels, instructions, or components, please contact us and we’ll work with the manufacturer to resolve the issue.

Most missing-part requests are handled through replacement shipments rather than full returns.


Refund Processing

Once an approved return is received and inspected, refunds are typically processed back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Depending on your bank or payment provider, processing times may vary.


Refused Deliveries

Refusing a shipment without prior authorization may result in:

  • Return freight charges

  • Restocking fees

  • Original shipping charges being deducted from the refund

Please contact us before refusing any delivery.


Restocking Fees

Some manufacturers charge restocking fees for returned products.

If applicable, restocking fees may be deducted from the refund amount.

We will always communicate any known restocking fees before approving a return whenever possible.
